First, you need to control the room temperature, absolutely not below 26-28 degrees Celsius. In the first 30 minutes, you can set it to fast cooling mode. When the room is cool enough, raise the temperature to a minimum of 27-28 degrees Celsius. This is the threshold suitable for the epithelial system of the respiratory mucosa.
Families with children under one year old, need to ensure the temperature is 28 degrees Celsius.
Absolutely do not lie down continuously or do not sit and work under the air conditioner for more than 6 hours in a day. Each air conditioner control has a timer function. You should make an appointment from 11pm to 3 or 4am the next morning. After the air conditioner stops, you switch to an electric fan, so turn it on at a low level. This does not affect sleep and is safe for the airway.
Clean the air conditioner two to three times a year, depending on the capacity and usage time. If the family only uses it every summer, it needs to be cleaned twice, at the beginning and the end of the season. For air conditioners in companies and factories, cleaning should be done every three months. Cleaning helps to ensure that the filter does not introduce contaminated air into the room and cause illness.
Note that the difference in temperature inside and outside the house makes users more susceptible to heat stroke and sore throat. In addition, you need to distinguish sore throat, high fever caused by using air conditioners with other diseases such as dengue fever, Covid, … to avoid dangerous complications when detected at a late stage.
