How to lie on your stomach to help F0 not have difficulty breathing

Normally, when people breathe, only the upper part of the lungs works. The bottom layer of the lungs is less or only those who practice qigong, practice yoga practice breathing the lower part of the lungs. Covid-19 patients who have difficulty breathing should change their lying position to mobilize all sources of lung activity to supply the body.

Therefore, F0 is recommended to lie on the stomach so that the muscles of the lungs and the bottom of the lungs work more, helping to exchange oxygen better, the patient is less difficult to breathe. When the oximeter results show that the SpO2 level is below 94% or the F0 is tired, you should lie down on your stomach. This will improve breathing and increase oxygen saturation for the patient.

About the right way to lie on your stomach: First, you lie on your stomach on a flat bed for 30 minutes to 2 hours. Then, switch to lying on your right side for 30 minutes to 2 hours. Continue to sit up (30 to 60 degrees) from 30 minutes to 2 hours. Next, switch to lying on your left side for 30 minutes to 2 hours and switch to lying on your stomach, legs bent for 30 minutes to 2 hours. Finally return to the prone position for the same amount of time

Avoid lying on your stomach in case of pregnancy, deep vein thrombosis, cardiovascular disease and spine problems or fractures.

Note to monitor the oxygen concentration after each position change, if the oxygen level drops below 92%, feel tired and very short of breath, chest tightness, it is necessary to immediately notify the medical system to be hospitalized. Absolutely do not self-treat at home.
