Ho Chi Minh City urges people to inject 3 doses of Covid-19 vaccine – VnExpress

On January 24, the Ho Chi Minh City Center for Disease Control (HCDC) urged people who have not received the third dose of Covid-19 vaccine to go directly to the injection site where they live.

According to HCDC, additional and booster doses of Covid-19 vaccine are still taking place in 22 districts and Thu Duc city. People who have not received the supplement and booster dose only need to go directly to the injection site and register, even if their name is not on the list of vaccinations, they will still be accepted.

Ho Chi Minh City is the first locality in the country to deploy the 3rd injection, from December 10, 2020. To date, the city has administered more than 19.8 million injections, of which 4.42 million are 3 (including more than 620,000 additional shots and nearly 3.8 million boosters).

At the end of last year, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health is expected to complete the injection of booster shots, additional shots for people, F0 to recover from the disease in January 2022 – before the Lunar New Year.

Basic dose is a vaccine injected according to the prescribed course of the manufacturer. Vietnam is injecting mainly vaccines with two doses (usually called first and second shots).

Additional dose is the dose given after the last dose of the basic dose at least 28 days, for people with weakened immune systems who are unable to prevent disease even though they have been vaccinated with full doses of the basic vaccine; people with moderate and severe immunodeficiency are organ transplant recipients, cancer patients, HIV patients, are receiving immunosuppressive drugs or have been treated within 6 months…

Repeat dose, Also called booster dose, applied to people who have been vaccinated with a full dose of vaccine, in order to enhance or restore the body’s ability to protect the body of the basic dose. A booster shot is required if three of the following are present: 18 years of age or older, having had the primary or supplementary dose, and having received the last dose of the primary dose at least 3 months ago.
