Le Van Dung, deputy director of the Ho Chi Minh City Civil and Industrial Construction Investment Project Management Board, said the new construction project of Hoc Mon Regional General Hospital officially started early last year. . Despite being affected by Covid-19, the units have made great efforts to overcome difficulties to ensure the construction is not interrupted or interrupted.

According to Mr. Dung, the project still has many items to be completed, which requires speeding up and being more drastic in terms of progress in order to be timely tested, handed over and put into use, expected at the end of 2023.

Hoc Mon Area General Hospital is located at the northwest gateway of Ho Chi Minh City, with a scale of 1,000 beds, including 12 floors, with a budget of more than VND 1,890 billion from the city budget, in order to serve the needs of medical examination and treatment, contributing part of reducing the load for hospitals at the terminal and inner city areas.

According to a representative of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health, this is one of three projects to build a new general hospital at the gateways of Cu Chi, Hoc Mon and Thu Duc. All three hospitals will start construction together in 2021, all with helipads, serving the development of future air emergencies. Most of the new hospital construction plans in Ho Chi Minh City have helipads, contributing to building the city’s health sector into one of the regional medical service centers.

In recent years, Ho Chi Minh City has built helipads at a number of hospitals such as Military Medicine 175 (center to the north), City Children’s (west gateway), Oncology facility 2 (east gateway). , High-Tech Diagnostic Area of ​​People’s Hospital 115 (inner city center)… In which, the only helipad on the roof of Military Hospital 175 has been in operation to receive patients since the end of 2020.
