The Center for Disease Control (HCDC) on the evening of January 29, recorded a suspected case of infection in Hai Duong village, close contact with “patient 1612”, on a flight VN213 on January 28 into the city.
According to HCDC, the suspect arrived in Ho Chi Minh City on flight VN213, departing from Noi Bai airport at 15:00 on January 28. This person is from Nam Sach district, Hai Duong province, has close contact with “patient 1612” – recorded by the Health Ministry this afternoon. After arriving in Ho Chi Minh City, this person took the initiative to make a medical report and was put in isolation.
12 cases of close contact with the above suspected case have been centrally isolated, the test results are all negative once.
HCDC recommends that all passengers traveling on the above flight contact the local health authority. For those living in Ho Chi Minh City, please call the hotline phone number of the Medical Center of the district where you live to report, receive medical isolation instructions and take samples for nCoV testing.
Regarding outbreaks of Hai Duong, Quang Ninh, Ho Chi Minh City, 7 cases of close contact have been traced. All were isolated and tested negative once for nCoV. The city has re-activated the entire Covid-19 defense system. Director of the Department of Health Nguyen Tan Binh called on people coming to Ho Chi Minh City from the epidemic zones to proactively report to the local health sector.
HCDC also announced, increasing the quarantine period from 14 days to 21 days in the case of a visit to Ho Chi Minh City related to the Hai Duong epidemic zone, Quang Ninh.
