Decision 34 sanctioning administrative violations against Dai Tam Phat Telecommunication Joint Stock Company (address at My Dinh street, My Dinh ward, Nam Tu Liem district) was issued by Inspector of Hanoi Department of Information and Communication on February 9 .
The fact that Dai Tam Phat Telecom Joint Stock Company performs the act of texting advertisements from the number 9926 to customers without the consent of the customer, has violated Clause 2, Article 11 of Decree No. 91/2020 / ND- CP dated August 14, 2020 of the Government on combating spam messages, spam emails, and spam calls.
Applicable to the sanctioning provisions at Point a, Clause 2, Article 94 of Decree No. 15/2020 / ND-CP dated February 3, 2020 of the Government on sanctioning of administrative violations in the fields of post, telecommunications, and radio numbers, IT and electronic transactions, the Inspector of the Hanoi Department of Information and Communications decided to sanction Dai Tam Phat Telecommunication Joint Stock Company with the amount of VND 7.5 million.
Previously, information with ICTnews, the Department of Information Security (Ministry of Information and Communications) said that in Hanoi, this agency and the Telecommunications Department coordinated with the City Department of Information and Communications to handle violations of 3 violating organizations called advertising phone improperly; 1 individual who messes with the wrong advertisement texting; 1 organization violating the “not labeling advertising text messages according to regulations”; and asked the telecommunications enterprise to stop providing services to 7 phone subscribers who violated the texting of advertising messages, making calls for advertising in contravention of regulations.
In the direction and tasks in 2021 of the Hanoi Department of Information and Communications, the Department has determined to continue implementing the Government’s Decree 91 on the fight against spam messages, spam emails, and spam calls in the city. key missions.
In order to organize the effective implementation of Decree 91, at the end of November 2020, the Hanoi Department of Information and Communications has issued a plan to implement this Decree.
