A representative of the Hanoi Department of Health said on November 2 that the two highest infection clusters in Me Linh and Quoc Oai were related to mass gatherings such as funerals and weddings. Most of the infections are familial, with many people infected. They have been vaccinated, most have no symptoms.
The Department of Health assessed that the risk of infection in Hanoi is still high because the epidemic in neighboring provinces and cities is still complicated and increasing. In addition, many places gather in large numbers after applying easing measures. It is forecasted that Hanoi will continue to add complex and high-risk infection chains.
In the fourth outbreak, Hanoi recorded 4,588 infections, of which 1,737 were in the community, 2,851 were detected in isolation.
