Hanoi adds 6 suspected cases

Hanoi CDC on the morning of May 18 announced 6 new suspected cases, including 3 F1 of former Hacinco director, one related to a cluster of cases at Sland Company, two infections from K Hospital.

The Hanoi Center for Disease Control (CDC) said that these six people who tested positive on May 17 have been isolated. The Ministry of Health has not recorded it, so it is classified as a suspected case.

Specifically, 3 F1 includes the youngest 3-year-old son, 72-year-old biological father and 60-year-old maid of former Hacinco director, living at Center Point building, 27 Le Van Luong, Nhan Chinh, Thanh Xuan district. They tested negative for nCoV on May 12, isolated at the Center for Defense and Security Education, Vietnam National University, Hanoi. On May 17, they had cough and fever and were sampled for the second time.

Regarding Sland Company, the suspected case is a 34-year-old male worker, living in Ninh So, Thuong Tin district. He had close contact (F1) with patients 3677, 3781 and 3786. On May 13, the Hanoi CDC took the first test sample, the result was negative, and transferred to concentrated isolation at the Center for National Defense Education. security, Vietnam National University, Hanoi. On May 17, he had a fever of 38.8 degrees, took a second sample and tested positive.

Two cases related to Tan Trieu K Hospital include: a 61-year-old man, living in hamlet 5, Quang Be, Chuong My district, hospitalized since April 22; 54-year-old man, living in Yen Dong, Yen Lac, Vinh Phuc province, hospitalized since May 5. These are two patients of the Department of Internal Medicine and Hematopoietic System, isolated at the hospital since May 6, the first test was negative. On May 11, they were transferred to concentrated isolation at the High-Tech Vocational College, Nam Tu Liem. On May 17, Nam Tu Liem District Medical Center took a second test sample and got a positive result.

On the morning of May 18, the Ministry of Health recorded 19 positive cases of nCoV in the country, of which Hanoi had 13 cases. Thus, the total number of cases in Hanoi increased to 239, of which 89 were at the National Hospital of Tropical Diseases and 26 were at K Hospital. There were 28 provinces and cities that recorded Covid-19 from April 27, with a total the number of infected cases is 1,340. Bac Giang and Bac Ninh are the two provinces with the highest number of infections today.
