The Orpea scandal rocked the entire old age sector. Since January 24, the date of the startling revelations of the book “Les Fossoyeurs” on widespread abuse in the group’s establishments, Orpea has lost almost 60% on the stock market. It dragged in its fall the other big name in the sector, Korian, which plunged 16.81% on Friday and 36% for 10 days. Another player, Le Noble Age, also fell 9.41% on Friday.

By a tweet, Elise Lucet, the producer and presenter of the show “Cash Investigation”, poured oil on the fire. She promised “new revelations” at the end of an investigation that her team has been carrying out “for more than a year and a half on private nursing homes”. The France 2 magazine would have postponed the broadcast of an investigation into McDonald’s to focus on “the excesses of the Korian and DomusVi groups”, reports Le Parisien.
