In addition to fixed and mobile selling points, postal businesses also provide essential goods to local people who are separated via e-commerce floors.

According to the Postal Department, the Ministry of Information and Communications, besides two large enterprises, Vietnam Post Corporation (Vietnam Post) and Viettel Post Joint Stock Corporation (Viettel Post), have participated in providing essential goods at various locations. The locality has been social distancing since mid-July, up to now, this activity has had the cooperation of 3 other postal businesses including Fast Delivery, Economical Delivery and Netco.

Currently, along with ensuring the maintenance of the supply chain of goods in the capital while the whole city is implementing the distance, according to the coordination of the Ministry of Information and Communications, postal businesses are focusing on both ensuring the supply of goods and services. Supplying essential goods and supporting the consumption of agricultural products until the harvest period in 19 southern provinces and cities including: An Giang, Ba Ria – Vung Tau, Ben Tre, Binh Duong, Binh Phuoc, Ca Mau, Can Tho, Dong Nai, Dong Thap, Hau Giang, Kien Giang, Long An, Soc Trang, Tay Ninh, Tien Giang, HCMC, Tra Vinh, Vinh Long and Bac Lieu.

On August 5, the Ministry of Information and Communications asked the Department of Culture, Information, Sports and Tourism of Bac Lieu province and the Department of Information and Communications of 18 southern provinces and cities to chair and coordinate with relevant agencies and units of the province. to support and create conditions for Vietnam Post and Viettel Post to effectively consume local products.

Departments are also responsible for directing affiliated units of the two enterprises mentioned above in their localities to develop specific plans to support the consumption of agricultural products. At the same time, monitor, urge and support to remove difficulties for enterprises to consume registered agricultural products through e-commerce floors and other distribution channels.

Earlier, at an online meeting on July 30 on promoting the consumption of agricultural products on e-commerce floors, Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Pham Anh Tuan asked the Departments of Information and Communications to study carefully and make specific plans to implement 2 Plan: “Ensure the supply of essential goods of major postal enterprises in the provinces and cities that are implementing social distancing”, “Support to bring farmer production households to the e-commerce floor, promote development agricultural and rural digital economy” according to the characteristics of their province.

Products such as Vinh Long grapefruit and oranges, Soc Trang canoe longan, Tien Giang jackfruit, Ben Tre coconut, Kien Giang rice… will continue to expand in the coming time. Currently, more than 3,000 households in the southern provinces have been listed on Postmart to sell agricultural products and specialties.

“We make detailed plans for each type of agricultural product in each province and calculate the appropriate consumption. At the same time, build prices, transportation and delivery processes so that agricultural products can quickly reach consumers, while still ensuring epidemic prevention regulations.”, a representative of Vietnam Post shared.

In order to solve the difficulties in transportation activities in the southern provinces that are being separated, postal businesses have changed the logistics flow, arranging a special feeder vehicle to run in the distanced area to connect with bus routes. other than the separation area.
