F0 at home should wash clothes, clean the room like?


Fabrics such as clothes, blankets, towels… should be washed at 60ºC or more, for 30 minutes or more; should put clothes directly into the washing machine, do not rinse.

Dr. Bui Minh Thanh, Gia Dinh People’s Hospital, recommends that in addition to washing fabrics, it is necessary to wash F0’s tablecloths and dishes with dishwashing liquid and then dry them. If using a dishwasher, choose a temperature of 60 degrees Celsius.

Regularly clean rooms in the house, keeping windows open for at least 10 minutes, several times a day. Clean and disinfect touched F0 surfaces such as doorknobs, bathroom items, restrooms, floors, etc. with commonly used cleaners on a daily basis. Then, wash with a product containing Javel water and then rinse with water.

Clean bathrooms and toilets after use with Javel bleach or other disinfectant products. Do not share everyday items such as towels, toiletries, soap, dishes, phones…

Use separate garbage bags, trash cans, do not mix with other items. Pack the garbage bag, place in a plastic bag, F0 should not be touched for 24 hours, then discard the trash bag.

Doctor Thanh noted that F0 needs to measure body temperature twice a day, paracetamol can be used at the recommended dose. Do not take anti-inflammatory drugs such as ibuprofen without your doctor’s advice. Contact your local health care provider as soon as there are signs of a suspected worsening.

According to Doctor Thanh, F0 needs to avoid contact with others, keep a distance of two meters from people around and limit exchanges to less than 15 minutes. Outsiders are not welcome at the accommodation, except for caregivers and helpers. Wash your hands often and avoid touching your eyes, nose, mouth and face. Use a handkerchief and throw it away immediately if you cough or have a runny nose.

If you are alone, ask relatives (family, friends, neighbors) to deliver medicine, buy food or meals. It is recommended to place packages and food on the steps to limit contact.

Currently, Ho Chi Minh City applies home isolation with newly discovered F0 in the community, meeting the conditions as prescribed. These are the people no symptoms or mild symptoms, no respiratory failure, SpO2 index over 96%, respiratory rate less than 20 breaths/minute, under 50 years old, no underlying disease, not pregnant, not obese.

With the latest regulations of the Department of Health of Ho Chi Minh City, F0 isolated at home must meet conditions such as having a separate room, having a ventilated window, a separate toilet, a separate phone number, and an available phone number of the agency. Department of Health and Rapid Response Team (district, district) to contact when necessary. In front of the door of the isolation room, there is a table or chair to receive food and necessary personal items, there is a personal trash can with a lid and a garbage bag attached. In order to promptly support F0s who are self-isolating at home in emergency situations, the People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City has assigned districts and Thu Duc City to set up 312 quick response teams in each ward, commune and town. . The composition of each quick response team includes doctors, nurses from health stations of wards, communes and townships, medical staff who are volunteers, police forces, youth unions, etc. Whenever there is a F0 at the hospital. If the house shows signs of severe transfer, in need of emergency, the quick response teams will promptly approach and support care and transfer if necessary.

In addition, the mobile medical team of the health station will visit the home of suspected F0 cases belonging to high-risk groups in the area such as lonely elderly people, people with mental illnesses… to promptly taken to treatment facilities.

F0 has one of the symptoms such as fever over 38 degrees Celsius, cough, sore throat, diarrhea, loss of taste, chest pain, chest heaviness, feeling short of breath. , press number 3 for advice from the Medical Association of Ho Chi Minh City, or number 4 for advice from a companion physician.
