At the ceremony, Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Pham Anh Tuan expressed his gratitude for the great contributions of 9,000 employees in the whole industry, especially 195 outstanding employees of the information and communication industry.

According to Deputy Minister Pham Anh Tuan, during the Covid-19 pandemic, the information and communication industry has always been at the vanguard, like a soldier rushing to the front in all fields, directly confronting the pandemic. The information and communication industry has also had people fall because of the Covid-19 pandemic.

“In just a few days, the postal block has distributed 500,000 gifts to the people of Ho Chi Minh City. Immediately after that, the telecommunications block installed more broadcasting stations to maintain communication. In terms of economic development, despite being heavily affected by the pandemic, businesses in the telecommunications industry still maintain sales growth. Post office still grew over 10%, telecommunications still grew and ensured operational efficiency.

Sharing with 195 typical employees of the information and communication industry in 2022, Deputy Minister Pham Anh Tuan suggested that each of them must reinvent themselves to adapt to the new development trend of the world and the country. Everyone must be a digital worker, a digital citizen and become the core of spreading that in their units and localities.

In addition to protecting workers’ rights, Deputy Minister Pham Anh Tuan tasked the Trade Union of the Information & Communication industry to work with specialized agencies to successfully implement the post-pandemic economic recovery and development program, attaching with its specific mission.
