The measures for independents unveiled Thursday, September 16 by Emmanuel Macron, are “very positive“, declared on franceinfo Marc Sanchez, national secretary of the Union of Independents and VSEs (SDI). The President of the Republic notably announced the protection of the personal assets of the independents, who”will be elusive“in the event of failure. This measure is”an essential element“and respond to”a major demand“, according to Marc Sanchez.

The national secretary of the Union of the Self-Employed and VSEs also welcomes the easing of the conditions for receiving the Self-Employed Workers’ Allowance, which allows self-employed workers whose activity has ceased to receive 800 euros per month for 6 months. “It will make it possible to expand the panel of entrepreneurs and freelancers who will be able to benefit from it“, he estimated. Only a thousand people have used this device, put in place in November 2019.

It will be necessary to have a minimum income of 10,000 euros at least for one year, and not cumulative over two years, as we had requested, but I think that we will have the opportunity to discuss again, in the framework of parliamentary work which will take place in the coming weeks“, argued Marc Sanchez.
