It is the temptation of insider trading. And the practice is almost as old as the Stock Exchange itself. It is now practiced on the dark web, the hidden face of the Internet, where all illicit activities thrive. A true pirate supermarket 2.0. Among them was “The Bull” whose real name was Apostolos Trovias, which sold confidential financial information, such as buyout plans or quarterly results of companies.

The undercover FBI

So many misdeeds which are now in the hands of American justice while undercover FBI agents managed to catch him by playing his game. The investigation will tell if the man had accomplices inside the companies that provided him with this confidential information. But this is just one of the dark web scams where everything is traded and dirty money is laundered blithely. The pandemic even benefited him.
