Epilogue for a helvetic thriller. Credit Suisse reached an out-of-court settlement with its former star banker, Iqbal Khan, over an alleged shadowing affair he had suffered, which had in part resulted in the departure of group chief executive Tidjane Thiam, said Sunday a spokesperson for the Swiss bank.
“All those involved have agreed to settle the problem and this case is now closed,” reports Reuters, confirming information published in the Swiss newspaper “NZZ am Sonntag”. According to the newspaper, the agreement will allow the dropping of criminal complaints filed by Iqbal Khan against the bank and private investigators, who allegedly followed him and his wife to Zurich. Details of the agreement, which puts an end to the alleged spinning affair, which erupted in September 2019, have not been disclosed.
