A battery of new aid to allay the concerns of businesses, this is what the Minister of the Economy, Bruno Le Maire, announced Thursday, January 14. First of all, the executive intends to support businesses in the hotel, restaurant and sports halls, which are administratively closed. “We will therefore bear the fixed costs of all companies in these sectors, as long as they achieve more than a million turnover per month”, said Bruno Le Maire.
The solidarity fund is also reinforced for companies in the S1bis sector, such as, for example, the food industry, taxis or laundries. In the event of loss of at least 70% of their turnover, they will be entitled to compensation covering 20% of it. Another boost: all businesses will be able to get one more year to repay their government-guaranteed loan. A delay on debts contracted with banks is also possible for businesses that are administratively closed.
