China made this big plan for its army, decided at the communist party conference

Beijing: In a recently concluded important conference of the Communist Party of China (CPC), a plan to build a fully modern army by 2027 on the lines of the US was finalized. It has been said in the news published here.

The official Global Times on Saturday quoted Chinese analysts as saying that 100 years of the establishment of the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) would be completed in 2027 and China would build a completely modern army by then. This goal is in line with national capability and will meet future national defense needs.

Under the chairmanship of President Xi Jinping, the plenary session of the ruling CPC adopted the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-25) for national economic and social development and their proposals to set ‘long-term goals up to 2035’.

The Fourteenth Five-Year Plan aims to improve the country’s domestic market to increase consumption in order to reduce China’s dependence on the shrinking export market, while the outlook for 2035 is the blueprint for the country’s development, including the military.

Politically, this view of Xi has given rise to speculation that he may remain in power for the next 15 years. Xi (67) has emerged as the most powerful leader of the CPC after Mao Jedang.

The national defense capabilities and economic strength of the country should be strengthened and reach the centenary goal of building a modern army by 2027, according to a release issued on Thursday of the fifth plenary session of the CPC Central Committee for four days.

The South China Morning Post newspaper in Hong Kong wrote that the meeting chaired by Xi has set a new goal of making the PLA a modern military force by 2027, by then the Chinese military will be prepared on the lines of the US.
