CEO who laid off 900 employees went on leave, made a big announcement in 3-minute meeting


US Mortgage Company: Vishal Garg, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of US-based company Better.com, has gone on leave for some time. This information has been given in media reports. Indian-origin CEO Garg recently came into the limelight when he announced the expulsion of 900 employees from the company during a Zoom meeting. His move was widely criticized.

According to the e-mail sent by the company’s board of directors on Friday, Garg has gone on leave with immediate effect. The company’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Kevin Ryan will oversee the day-to-day operations of the company in his absence. It said that Better.com would provide ‘Leadership and Culture’. The company will be engaged by a third party for related assessment and based on its recommendations, a long-term positive culture will be created in the company.
