Lunch time is coming and everything seems hazy for many French workers. Not being able to take advantage of a real space such as teleworking, some are still fortunate to have a company canteen available. This is the case in Guyancourt (Yvelines) in a water treatment company. However, it must adapt its operation: employees come masked and once at the table, a plexiglass window separates them to avoid any contamination with the coronavirus. The table is then disinfected after each passage.
The Total company in La Défense (Hauts-de-Seine) first closed its dining hall, then found a new way to satisfy its staff. Using an application, the worker chooses his menu, orders and receives a specific time at which he can go to the company restaurant to pick up his meal, which he will eat at his office. Other companies prefer to offer meals available in a fridge every day. Workers have restaurant tickets to go get food at the neighborhood bakery.
