Apple’s AirPods 3 wireless headphones have officially been revealed with better battery life, ear detection sensor and some other new features.
With Adaptive EQ technology, AirPods 3 will adjust the sound in real time based on the fit of the headset in the wearer’s ear. AirPods 3 support surround/three-way sound (spatial audio). The in-ear detection sensor automatically stops playback when the headset is removed from the ear.
Beamforming mics block background noise during calls, focus on voice, and support Hey Siri hands-free feature. Siri can read important notifications to users from apps like Messages, Reminders, Calendar, and third-party apps.
The headset itself has a battery life of 6 hours, the charging case can be charged 4 times with a total use time of 30 hours. In addition, the fast charging feature gives 1 hour of use after only 5 minutes. AirPods 3 also support MagSafe, so users can charge it wirelessly using a MagSafe charger.
AirPods 3 for pre-order from today for $ 179, available in 27 countries and territories from October 26. AirPods 2 are still on sale for $129. If you buy new AirPods, you will get a free Apple Music package for 6 months. Apple also introduced a cheaper plan, Apple Music Voice Plan, only $4.99/month. The downside is that you have to use Siri to play music and don’t have access to premium services like surround sound, lossless, lyrics, music videos.
