The Uyghurs are the main ethnic group in Xinjiang, a huge region of China which notably has common borders with Afghanistan and Pakistan.
This is not the first time that Antoine Griezmann has spoken on subjects outside the sports field. Recently, he, together with other French footballers, expressed his indignation after the beating of producer Michel Zecler and denounced police violence.
