Among 8,744 infections announced by the Ministry of Health on February 2, there are 8,722 cases in 55 provinces and cities, the lowest in the past 72 days; The number of severe cases also dropped to the lowest level after 91 days.
In the past 24 hours, 3,665 cases were detected in isolation or blockade areas (down 43 cases), 5,057 cases in the community (down 2,246 cases). The average number of new infections in the country recorded in the past 7 days is 13,099 cases/day.
Thus, the number of infections today is the lowest in nearly 2.5 months, the lowest recorded day of infections in recent months is November 21, 2021 with 9,882 cases.
Today is the second day the Ministry of Health has not recorded any deaths.
Up to now, in Vietnam, 186 cases of Omicron mutation have been recorded in: Ho Chi Minh City 92, Quang Nam 27, Quang Ninh 20, Hanoi 14, Khanh Hoa 11, Da Nang 8, Kien Giang 4, Thanh Hoa 2, Hai Duong , Hai Phong, Long An, Ba Ria – Vung Tau, Binh Duong, Lam Dong, Ninh Binh, Hai Duong each place.
In the fourth wave, the number of domestic infections was 2,288,441 cases, of which 2,066,036 cases were announced to be cured.
Localities with high cumulative infections during this outbreak: Ho Chi Minh City 514,195, Binh Duong 292,927, Hanoi 136,939, Dong Nai 99,911, Tay Ninh 88,348.
Regarding treatment, the number of cured cases in a day was 6,795 cases. The total number of cured cases reached 2,068,853 cases. The number of critically ill patients being treated is 2,735 cases, of which there are 1,913 cases of oxygen through a mask, 374 cases of HFNC high-flow oxygen, 72 cases of noninvasive mechanical ventilation, 362 cases of invasive mechanical ventilation and 14 cases of ECMO.
Thus, today recorded the lowest number of severe cases after 91 days. The lowest number of severe cases recorded in the past 3 months was November 2, 2021 with 2,950 severe cases.
From April 27, 2021 up to now, 32.2 million samples have been tested, equivalent to 77.2 million turns of people, an increase of 16.048 samples compared to the previous day.
