The average number of deaths recorded in the past 7 days is 90 cases. The total number of deaths in Vietnam so far is 40,050, accounting for 1.2% of the total number of infections.

The total number of deaths in Vietnam ranks 24 out of 225 countries and territories. Calculating the number of deaths per million people, Vietnam ranks 129th. Compared to Asia, the total number of deaths Vietnam ranks 6th out of 49 countries and territories (3rd in ASEAN), mortality rate per one million people ranked 23rd (4th in ASEAN).

Localities with high cumulative infections during this outbreak: Ho Chi Minh City 530,334, Binh Duong 296,256, Hanoi 247,583 cases.

Regarding treatment, the number of cured patients in a day was 20,427. The total number of cured cases reached 2,376,046. The number of critically ill patients being treated is 2,979, of which oxygen through a mask is 2,372, HFNC high-flow oxygen is 285, noninvasive ventilation is 81, invasive mechanical ventilation is 230, and ECMO is 11.

The number of tests from April 27, 2021 to now is more than 33.4 samples, equivalent to 78,971,531 turns of people, an increase of 110,825 samples compared to the previous day.

On February 25, there were 384,509 doses of vaccine injected. Thus, the total number of doses that have been injected is more than 193.2 million. In which, more than 176.5 million doses were injected for people aged 18 years or older; The first dose is more than 70.8 million doses, the second dose is more than 67.1 million doses, the additional dose is more than 13.6 million doses, the third dose is more than 1.4 million doses, the booster dose is more than 23.3 million doses. Vaccination for children 12-17 years old is more than 16.7 million doses; in which the first dose is more than 8.6 million, the second dose is more than 8.1 million doses.

The Ministry of Health directs localities to increase vaccination with the third dose of vaccine for people aged 18 and over, to be completed in the first quarter; second injection for children 12 to under 18 years old, completed in 2 months; prepare all conditions in terms of facilities, equipment, storage facilities, locations and human resources to immunize children from 5 years old to under 12 years old immediately after being provided with vaccines.
