In which, Hanoi increased 432 cases compared to yesterday, to 980 cases – the highest ever (in days). Tay Ninh also has a high number of infections, up to 920 cases.
The average number of new infections in the country recorded in the past 7 days is 14,833 cases/day.
Today recorded 228 deaths, of which in: Ho Chi Minh City 78, Binh Duong 23, An Giang 18, Dong Nai and Tien Giang 17, Dong Thap 8, Vinh Long, Soc Trang, Bac Lieu, Tay Ninh, Long An , Kien Giang, Can Tho have 7 cases each, Ba Ria – Vung Tau 4, Ben Tre and Quang Nam 3, Tra Vinh, Binh Thuan all 2, Binh Dinh, Dak Lak, Lam Dong, Ca Mau all one.
The average number of deaths recorded in the past 7 days is 226 cases. The total number of deaths in Vietnam so far is 27,839, accounting for 2% of the total number of infections.
In the fourth outbreak, the number of domestic infections was 1,407,655, of which 1,051,903 cases were announced to be cured.
Since the beginning of the epidemic, Vietnam has recorded 1,413,051 infections, ranking 32/223 countries and territories.
Two provinces and cities have no secondary infections in the area in the past 14 days: Bac Kan, Lai Chau.

Regarding treatment, the number of cured cases in a day is 1,295 cases. The total number of cured cases reached 1,054,720. The number of critically ill patients being treated is 7,596 cases, of which 5,237 cases of oxygen through a mask, 1,273 cases of HFNC high-flow oxygen, 126 cases of non-invasive mechanical ventilation, 942 cases of invasive mechanical ventilation and 18 cases of ECMO.
Thus, from December 6 to now, the daily number of severe cases has been above 7,000, a high level equivalent to the most intense epidemic period in the middle of the year. The average number of severe cases in the past 7 days was 7,438 cases/day, while the previous 7 days (as of December 5) averaged 6,484 cases/day. According to experts, the high number of infections often leads to an increase in the number of severe cases and the number of deaths.
Regarding testing, in the past 24 hours, 135,827 tests were performed for 170,009 people. The number of tests from April 27 to now has made 27.8 million samples for 71.3 million people.
Regarding vaccination, on 11/12, there were 304,775 doses of vaccine injected. Thus, the total number of doses injected was 132.2 million, of which the first injection was 74.8 million doses, the second injection was 57.4 million doses.
