Another 14,224 cases of Covid-19

Today is the second highest number of domestic infections recorded since the beginning of the epidemic with 14,219 cases. The day with the highest number of infections was August 27 (17,409 cases), the third day with the third highest number of infections was August 21 (13,417 cases).

Ho Chi Minh City recorded the third highest number of infections with 5,889 cases. The highest day is July 27 (6,318 cases), the second highest day is July 26 (5,997 cases).

During the day, 315 deaths were recorded in: Ho Chi Minh City 245 cases, Binh Duong 39, Tien Giang 7, Long An 6, Dong Nai 4, Dong Thap 3, Khanh Hoa 2, Da Nang, Hanoi and An Giang provinces. , Ben Tre, Binh Dinh, Binh Thuan, Soc Trang, Thua Thien Hue and Vinh Long each place.

Five provinces and cities with high number of cases are Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong, Dong Nai, Long An, and Tien Giang.

Regarding testing, In the last 24 hours, 536,647 tests were performed for 626,126 turns of people. The number of tests from April 27 to now has done 13,252,329 samples for 32,742,499 turns of people.

Regarding vaccinations, The total number of vaccine doses administered was 19,710,560 doses, of which the 1st dose was 17,186,153 doses, and the 2nd dose was 2,524,407 doses.

The Ministry of Health received 250,800 doses of Covid-19 vaccine AstraZeneca and Moderna vaccine sponsored by the Government of the Czech Republic for Vietnam.

Ho Chi Minh City allows shippers who are on the list of the Department of Industry and Trade and have injected at least 1 vaccine will be allowed to operate in the “red zone” districts from August 30.
