On the afternoon of February 9, the Ministry of Health recorded 16 cases of positive nCoV, of which 13 cases of community infection, including 6 Hai Duong, 2 Hanoi, 2 Hung Yen, 2 Ho Chi Minh City, a Gia Lai and 3 people entered.
New cases are recorded from numbers 2054 to 2069. In which, 13 cases of community infection, specifically:
Patient numbers 2054-2059, were cases related to the Chi Linh outbreak, which was concentrated in isolation, tested for the third time on 8/2 positive for nCoV. Currently, patients are being treated at the Medical Center of Chi Linh City.
“Patient 2062”, 69 years old, and “patient 2063” women, 38 years old, are from Yen My district. These two exposed “patient 2060”, tested on February 8 positive for nCoV. They are currently being treated at the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases 2.
– “Patient 2060”Male, 38 years old, address in Yen My district, Hung Yen province, related epidemiology with outbreak of Lai Cach district, Hai Duong province. Test results on February 8 and February 9 were both positive for nCoV, patients treated at the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases 2.
– “Patient 2064”, Male, 73 years old, address in Cau Giay district, exposed to “patient 1819”, has been isolated since January 30, his second test result on 9/2 is positive for nCoV. Currently patients are being treated at the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases 2.
“Patient 2065” male, 43 years old, address in Tan Binh district, and “patient 2066” male, 25 years old, address in district 3.
In which, “patient 2065” is an employee of VNA Southern branch, working in the cargo handling supervision department; “patient 2066” is an employee of VIAGS Company, working in the baggage handling department at Tan Son Nhat airport. Test results on 8/2 positive for nCoV, they treated at Cu Chi Field Hospital.
“Patient 2069”, female, 6 years old, address in Ayun Pa town, in the blockade area. Test result on 9/2 positive for nCoV, patient treated at Ayunpa Town Medical Center.
3 entry cases, specifically:
“Patient 2061” recorded in Long An province, male, 26 years old, in Cai Lay district, Tien Giang province. On February 2, he entered Tan Son Nhat airport from Japan on VJ7139 flight, immediately quarantined. Test result 2 days 9/2 positive for nCoV, patient treated at General Hospital Dong Thap Muoi, Long An province.
“Patient 2067”, female, 16 years old, in Nha Be district, HCMC. I was from the United States who transited Hong Kong, entered Tan Son Nhat airport on February 5, and immediately quarantined. Test result on 6/2 positive for nCoV, patient treated at Cu Chi Field Hospital.
“Patient 2068” recorded in Ho Chi Minh City, male, 43 years old, is an expert, Costa Rican nationality. Britain from the US transited Hong Kong, entered Tan Son Nhat airport on January 24, immediately quarantined. Test result 2 days 7/2 positive for nCoV, patient treated at Cu Chi Field Hospital.
Thus, today recorded 16 cases of community infection. Total from January 28 to February 9, the Ministry of Health recorded 486 cases of community infections, in 13 provinces including Hai Duong (327), Quang Ninh (53), Ho Chi Minh City (33), Hanoi (28) , Gia Lai (22), Binh Duong (6), Bac Ninh (4), Dien Bien (3), Hoa Binh and Hung Yen (2), Hai Phong, Bac Giang, Ha Giang with one shift each.
Up to now, the total number of infections has risen to 2,069, the number is from 1,474, the number of deaths from Covid-19 is 35, and four people die after three to four negative tests. The rest of the patients remained healthy, of which 14 tested negative for nCoV the first time, 14 were negative for the second time and 4 were negative for the third time.
The total number of people in close contact and entry from the epidemic zone is over 99,000. In which, the isolation concentrated in the hospital more than 800; more than 20,000 concentrated isolation, remaining at home or accommodation.
More than 2.2 million people die from Covid-19 worldwide, out of about 108 million people infected. The US is the country most severely affected by the epidemic, followed by India and Brazil.
