Display date will be announced soon
Initially it was to be built outside the White House. Later it was allowed to be built outside Capitol Hill, but this permission was revoked due to unprecedented security arrangements in Washington DC. For this reason, thousands of designs of Rangoli were decorated in a video to welcome Biden and Harris to show America’s multi-cultural heritage. Soumya Somnath, member of the ‘Inauguration Kolam 2021’ organizing team, said that the date of displaying it will be fixed after the approval of the local security agencies.
