After Pakistan, now China also abstained from the NSA meeting on Afghanistan

Afghanistan News: After Pakistan’s refusal last week, now China has also refused to attend the meeting to be held in Delhi on November 10 on Kabul. However, Russia, Iran, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan are expected to attend the meeting. Before the meeting, Ajit Doval held talks with the NSAs of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan. The NSA meeting of these countries is to be held under the leadership of National Security Advisor of India Ajit Doval.

China refused to attend the meeting, saying that it would continue to communicate and discuss through bilateral diplomatic meetings. According to sources, in the meeting, a strategy will be chalked out on the framework of regional security so that the situation arising out of the Taliban occupation in Afghanistan, especially the challenges of terrorism, radicalization, drugs production and trafficking, weapons left by the US and its allies, can be dealt with.

At the Delhi meeting, Rear Admirals Ali Shamkhani (Iran), Nikolai P Patrushev (Russia), Karim Massimov (Kazakhstan), Marat Mukanovich Imankulov (Kyrgyzstan), Nasrulo Rahmatzon Mahmudzoda (Tajikistan), Charimirat Kakalyevich Amavov, (Turkmenistan) and Viktor Makhmudov (Turkmenistan) and Viktor Makhmudov (Kyrgyzstan) Uzbekistan) will be included.

Top security officials can hold talks with PM Narendra Modi on Wednesday. Some delegates may also visit Amritsar and Agra. The Foreign Ministry said that “high-level talks will review the security situation in the region arising out of the recent developments in Afghanistan”.

The Ministry of External Affairs said, “India has traditionally enjoyed close and friendly relations with the people of Afghanistan and called for a unified international response to address the security and humanitarian challenges facing Afghanistan. The upcoming meeting is a step in that direction.”
