4 more people on entry with nCoV infection


“Patient 1362”, recorded in HCMC, female, 35 years old. On November 7, she came from Germany to Romania, then entered Tan Son Nhat airport on November 8 on flight VN82. Sampling for the third time on December 3, the test result at the Center for Disease Control in Ho Chi Minh City was positive for nCoV. Patients treated at Cu Chi Field Hospital.

“Patient 1363”, recorded in Ho Chi Minh City, male, 33 years old. He came from Germany to France, then entered Tan Son Nhat airport on flight VN5010 on 11/11. Sampling for the third time on December 3rd, the test result at the Center for Disease Control in Ho Chi Minh City was positive for nCoV. Patients treated at Cu Chi Field Hospital.

“Patient 1364”, recorded in Da Nang City, female, 20 years old, in Tay Ho district, Hanoi. She came from the US to Korea on flight KE9094, then entered Da Nang airport on flight VN431 on 23/11. Test results were negative once a day on 24/11, and the second time on 3/12 is doubtful; for the third time on December 4th at the Center for Disease Control in Da Nang City positive for nCoV. Patients treated at Da Nang Lung Hospital.

“Patient 1365”, recorded in HCMC, female, 28 years old. On 11/11, she came from Russia to Cam Ranh, then entered Tan Son Nhat airport on flight VN5062. Sampling for the third time on December 3, the test result at the Center for Disease Control in Ho Chi Minh City was positive for nCoV. Patients treated at Cu Chi Field Hospital.

All of these patients’ flights to Vietnam have been previously reported positive for nCoV.

Thus, the total infected cases to 1,365, the number from 1,220. The death toll from Covid-19 is 35, with four deaths after three to four negative tests.

The rest of the patients were in stable health, of which 5 were tested negative for nCoV once, 4 were negative for the second time, and 2 were negative for the third time.

The total number of people in close contact and entry from the epidemic zone is more than 16,000. In which, the isolation concentrated in the hospital nearly 200; more than 15,000 concentrated isolation, remaining at home or accommodation.

Vietnam appeared cases of community infection in Ho Chi Minh City after 89 days of not communicating to the community. The outbreak is basically under control, no new cases have been recorded for four days. However, the risk of infiltration is always permanent, especially when increasing the number of flights to bring Vietnamese citizens and water experts. The Ministry of Health recommends that people continue to well implement the “5K Message”, especially wearing a mask and washing their hands with soap and antiseptic solution.
