4 high-end smartphones will define the market in the second half of 2022

iPhone 14 Pro, Nothing Phone (1) and Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4, Xiaomi 12S Ultra are the most anticipated smartphones in 2022.

As usual, Apple will usually launch a new generation of iPhone in September every year. Meanwhile, Samsung is also set to introduce its flagship smartphones in August.

In addition to the names that are so familiar to users, the phone market promises to have a new rookie that is receiving a lot of attention that will be released this July.

iPhone 14 Pro

If you’re tired of seeing that annoying notch at the top of your iPhone’s screen, there’s good news for you. For the first time since the iPhone X launched in 2017, Apple will remove the current notch, replacing it with a pill-shaped hole and a small round hole that houses the selfie camera and FaceID.

The camera system on the iPhone 14 will be improved with rumors that Apple upgraded the main camera to 48 megapixels instead of 12 megapixels from 2015 to now.

Other updates, most likely, include the powerful A16 processor, autofocus front camera, always-on display, and some design changes. Besides the price adjustment, reports show that iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max prices are expected to increase by $100 to $1099 and $1199, respectively.

Nothing Phone (1)

The most anticipated rookie in this July, CEO Carl Pei’s phone has made the whole technology world pay attention. What makes Nothing Phone (1) stand out is not the configuration but the appearance.

A smartphone with a transparent back to reveal the internal components. The see-through design along with the notification LED system up to 900 bulbs can be customized according to the user’s purpose.

Hitting the high-end segment, Nothing Phone (1) will cost from 397 USD (9.2 million VND) for the standard version.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4

With the superiority of the Z Flip 3, Samsung has succeeded in “reviving” the clamshell phone design that has been associated with the company in the past. Samsung still wants to prove that a large number of consumers will decide to own a foldable device with the upcoming Z Flip 4.

The next Z Flip has a faster Snapdragon processor and a slightly tweaked design. But what we expect from the Galaxy Z Flip 4 is longer battery life, better cameras, and more features.

Xiaomi 12S Ultra

Xiaomi 12S Ultra is a testament to Xiaomi’s efforts to create a truly different flagship. Especially for the camera part, Xoiaomi has equipped with a 1-inch image sensor that is only available on high-end compact cameras like the Sony RX100.

The larger size allows the sensor to capture more light, taking better photos. Sure, this won’t replace DSLRs but it could be a step up from smartphones.

However, it is a pity that the Xiaomi 12S series including 12S, 12S and 12S Ultra are only sold exclusively in the Chinese market. This is the only product that has launched (July 4) in the list.
