218,444 more Covid-19 cases

On the evening of March 10, the Ministry of Health announced 218,444 infections, of which more than 160,000 cases were reported in 62 provinces and cities, and Thanh Hoa, Vinh Phuc and Binh Dinh added more than 57,000 cases.

The average number of new infections in the country recorded in the past 7 days is 147,780 cases/day.

From 5:30 p.m. on March 9 to 5:30 p.m. on March 10, 71 deaths were recorded. The average number of deaths recorded in the past 7 days is 87 cases/day. The total number of deaths in Vietnam so far is 41,157 cases, accounting for 0.8% of the total number of infections.

Regarding treatment, the number of patients recovered in a day was 53,151 cases. The total number of cured cases reached 2,908,365 cases. The number of critically ill patients being treated is 4,044 cases, of which oxygen through a mask is 3,221, HFNC high-flow oxygen is 432, noninvasive ventilation is 98, invasive ventilation is 290, and ECMO is 3.

On March 9, another 244,960 doses of vaccine were injected, bringing the total number of doses to nearly 199 million.

In the fourth wave, the number of domestic infections was 5,252,942, of which 2,905,548 cases were declared cured. Five provinces and cities recorded high cumulative infections: Ho Chi Minh City 560,671 cases, Hanoi 521,523, Binh Duong 327,930, Bac Ninh 205,710, Nghe An 183,206 cases.
