141 doctors and nurses in three central provinces support Binh Duong hospital, Ho Chi Minh City


101 doctors and nurses in Quang Tri and Hue provinces on the morning of July 26 went to Binh Duong to support the prevention of Covid-19. 40 Quang Binh medical staff are expected to support Ho Chi Minh City on July 27.

Thirty-five medical staff in Quang Tri, including 12 doctors, 3 technicians, a pharmacist and 19 nurses, are assigned to the field hospital No. 1 in Binh Duong province. They will also support Binh Duong province to collect samples for Covid-19 testing, within a month.

Mr. Nguyen Xuan Dung, Director of Dong Ha City Medical Center shared that these doctors and nurses wrote volunteer applications to the South, contributing to the prevention of the epidemic.

“With young spirit and strength, we promise to dedicate ourselves to giving the best care to patients, also a step to accumulate experience to take the initiative in disease prevention for Quang Tri in the near future.” Dr. Dung said.

Doctor Hoang Thi Ngoc Van, 26 years old, working at the Medical Center of Quang Tri town, said her family was very worried when she heard that she volunteered to go to the South to fight the epidemic. “I encourage my parents to rest assured, the child will come back soon,” Van said.

Doctors, medical staff in Thua Thien Hue On the afternoon of July 26, he went to Binh Duong to participate in anti-epidemic work.

Mr. Tran Kiem Hao, Director of Thua Thien Hue Department of Health said that 66 doctors and medical staff entering Binh Duong this time are experienced and good professionals.

The medical team moved by air to Tan Son Nhat airport on a turn-around flight carrying 240 people from Ho Chi Minh City to Hue on the afternoon of July 26. After that, the group will take a car to Binh Duong.

Previously, Thua Thien Hue provided medical aid to doctors and medical staff for Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Thap and Phu Yen. Up to now, groups of doctors and nurses in Thua Thien Hue are still helping the southern provinces take samples for testing and treating Covid-19 patients.

On July 24, on behalf of the Ministry of Health, Deputy Minister Nguyen Truong Son wrote a letter to summon all medical forces in Ho Chi Minh City and across the country to volunteer in epidemic prevention activities. By the afternoon of July 25, more than 1,300 volunteers had registered to participate, including nearly 300 doctors, 200 pharmacists, and nearly 700 people working in other professions. Volunteer ages are diverse, including 47 people under 20 years old, 1,197 people 20-50 years old, 94 people over 50 years old.

Previously, Ho Chi Minh City asked the central government to support 12,000 medical workers. Up to now, the Ministry of Health has mobilized about 7,000 doctors and medical students nationwide to support the city.

Up to now, the whole country has recorded 97,370 cases, of which Ho Chi Minh City has the largest number of infections with 62,139 cases, Binh Duong has 8,417 cases. Particularly, Thua Thien Hue recorded 15 cases, including 4 cases from Ho Chi Minh City and Binh Duong returning by motorbike.
