13,694 more infections, Bac Ninh and Ben Tre added more than 16,000 cases

The two health departments of Bac Ninh and Ben Tre have registered a total of more than 16,000 additional cases on the National Case Management System, after reviewing them.

Thus, a total of today, the Ministry of Health announced 29,766 infections. Of the 29,728 infections nationwide in the past 24 hours, 21,532 were detected in isolation or blockade areas, 8,196 in the community. The average number of new infections in the country recorded in the past 7 days is 15,030 cases/day.

Another 18 cases of Omicron mutant infection were detected, all imported cases and isolated immediately. Thus, so far, Vietnam has recorded 184 Omicron cases in: Ho Chi Minh City 92 (of which 5 are community cases), Quang Nam 27, Quang Ninh 20, Hanoi 14, Khanh Hoa 11, Da Nang 8, Kien Giang 4 , Thanh Hoa 2, Hai Duong, Hai Phong, Long An, Ba Ria – Vung Tau, Binh Duong, Lam Dong each.

Today, 121 deaths have been recorded in: Hanoi 22, Dong Nai 12, Ba Ria – Vung Tau and Tien Giang 8, Kien Giang 7, Vinh Long 6, Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Thap, Hai Phong all 5, Ben Tre and Can Tho 4, Bac Lieu, Bac Ninh, Binh Duong, Da Nang, Hau Giang all 3, An Giang, Binh Phuoc, Nam Dinh, Soc Trang all 2, Binh Dinh, Ca Mau, Dak Lak, Ha Giang, Ha Nam, Hai Duong, Lao Cai, Ninh Binh, Phu Tho, Quang Tri, Thua Thien Hue, Yen Bai each place.

The average number of deaths recorded in the past 7 days is 136 cases. The total number of deaths in Vietnam so far is 37,668, accounting for 1.7% of the total number of infections.

In the fourth wave, the number of domestic infections was 2,256,071, of which 2,014,798 patients were declared cured.

Regarding treatment, the number of cured cases in a day was 55,018 cases, the total number of cured cases increased to 2,017,615 cases. The number of critically ill patients being treated is 3,840 cases, of which 2,651 cases of oxygen through a mask, 543 cases of HFNC high-flow oxygen, 148 cases of noninvasive mechanical ventilation, 479 cases of invasive mechanical ventilation and 19 cases of ECMO.

Since the beginning of the epidemic, Vietnam has recorded 2,263,053 infections, ranking 31 out of 225 countries and territories. Calculating the rate of infections per million people, Vietnam ranks 144th (on average, there are 22,929 infections per million people).

Localities with high cumulative infections during this outbreak: Ho Chi Minh City 513,726 cases, Binh Duong 292,858, Hanoi 128,790, Dong Nai 99,881, Tay Ninh 88,068 cases.

The number of tests from April 27, 2021 to now is 32.1 million samples, equivalent to 77.1 million turns of people, an increase of 22,337 samples compared to the previous day.

On January 29, there were 223,939 doses of vaccine injected. Thus, the total number of doses administered is 181.1 million doses, of which the first injection is 79 million doses, the second injection is 74.1 million doses, the third injection (additional/reinforced injections and 3 doses) baseline) is 27.9 million doses.
