Doctor Do Doan Bach, Network of Companion Physicians, recommends 12 things to do while isolating at home.

Isolate the infected person from others, use a separate bedroom and bathroom if possible. In case there is no private room, mark a separate space for F0. Always keep a distance of at least 2 meters from infected people.

Compliant 4 no, include: Do not share meals with others; do not move out of the isolation area; not having close contact with other people or pets; Do not share dishes, drinking glasses, eating utensils, towels and bedding with other people in the house.

Make sure the house is always well ventilated, always open windows, doors. Do not use the central air conditioning system with other rooms, do not let the air flow from the infected person’s room to the common spaces. Use fans and air purifiers.

Wash your hands often is the best way to reduce infection. Wash your hands with soap under running water for at least 30 seconds or an alcohol-based hand sanitizer at a concentration of at least 60%, for at least 15 seconds. You should wash before and after cooking; before and after eating and drinking, after coughing, sneezing, blowing your nose; after touching surface items; after going to the toilet or picking up the trash…

Wear the mask properly. Infected people, caregivers and family members need to wear masks continuously. People who do not wear masks are children under 2 years old or people who have difficulty breathing, who cannot remove the mask on their own without help.

F0 must wear a mask as much as possible, even when isolated to reduce the risk of spreading the virus to others. Caregivers must wear a mask when in the same room or space as the infected person and others. Other family members wear masks whenever they share a room or space with others.

F0 should wash the dishes by herself in her own room. Caregivers wear gloves when handling food… Infected person’s utensils must be kept in separate places after washing, preferably in a separate room.

F0 should wash their own clothes If the caregiver washes it, gloves should be worn when handling. Machine wash or hand wash in warm water, tumble dry or hang dry completely. Do not keep dirty laundry to limit the risk of spreading viruses through the air.

Clean environmental surfaces, it is best for F0 to clean their own area…. Caregivers must wear gloves before cleaning for F0, use personal hygiene equipment of the infected person, can cover electronic devices with plastic film and disinfect outside, remove gloves, wash hands after completing cleaning work. Clean surfaces at least once a day.

When collecting and treating waste should put trash cans with tight lids and open with feet, lined with plastic bags inside in room F0. Collect and dispose of waste daily or when the bin is full.

Wear gloves when handling waste and remove gloves after handling, wash hands again. Note, gloves are not a substitute for other precautions such as washing hands with soap and wearing a mask. Each pair of gloves is used only once, not reused.

For pets, Infected people should not come into contact with pets because there is evidence that the virus can be spread to animals. Housemates should also not have close contact with pets, do not let pets come into contact with people and other animals outside the family.

Prevention of infection when buying food and products. It is best to order online and ask an outside person to receive the goods, no contact. If contact is required, please leave the goods outside the house and keep a minimum distance of 2m from the delivery person. Wash your hands immediately after receiving the goods, opening the package. Do not spray disinfectant on food even if it is outside.
